Substantive and structural editing – working with you to tailor persuasive communications for your audience. This may include rewriting for plain English, reordering content, and refining your message. 

Copyediting – improves the consistency and clarity of your content, without significant rewriting or structural changes. Copyediting may include applying a style guide and consistent formatting. 

Proofreading – a final check before publication to ensure earlier changes have been included, your style guide has been applied, and to remove any errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation. 

Thesis editing – copyediting and proofreading of your thesis. Please note substantive and structural editing is not available for theses to be submitted for assessment or examination. Refer to the Institute of Professional Editors’ Guidelines for Editing Research Theses.
